Embers are an in-app currency used to unlock chapters on Nightjar Reads. Embers have no real-world monetary value and are non-transferable between accounts. Purchased Embers never expire. Promotional Embers may expire 90 days after they are granted, are labelled as promotional wherever they appear, and are always spent before purchased Embers.

Subscriptions deliver their Ember allotment on each billing date and renew until cancelled. Sparks are earned through quests, cannot be purchased, and expire 90 days after they are earned.

Chapter availability, the Ember cost to unlock a chapter, and pack contents may change. Price changes are announced before they take effect, and existing subscribers keep their rate while continuously subscribed. See our refund policy for details.
